Research was conducted aiming to determine: (1) the feasibility of content, (2) the presentation of the book, and (3) Feasibility of a language or readability.in the class X textbook of biology in high school the first semester of Medan State based curriculum content standards.The sample in this study is the X-class biology textbooks used in the first half of SMA Negeri Medan with publishers: (1) Bailmu; (2) Erlangga Esis; (3) Yudhistira; (4) Quadra; (5) Inter Plus; (6) Piranti; (7) Bumi Aksara; (8) Erlangga; and (9) Yrama Widya.
This research is descriptive method to describe the results of the analysis of the suitability of high school biology textbook State Content Standards Medan with KTSP as a percentage. The results of this study showed biology class X textbook to meet compliance with the first semester curriculum Content Standards: (1) the feasibility of the contents of 75.53%; (2) the feasibility of the presentation of 76.26%, and (3) linguistics (legibility) 97.22%. The results of this research implies textbooks or textbook has an important role both for teachers and students as a textbook contains material that is based on the realization of national education standards of the materials listed in the curriculum. Thus the need for analysis of biology textbooks compliance with Content Standards curriculum is based on the feasibility of stale content, presentation books, and the feasibility of the policy language or readability using a text book is good, and quality and has a contribution in the delivery of learning materials in schools.
