Brothers In Arms Earned In Blood Crack
Earned in Blood is already on theisozone, but this one is ultra compressed, patched and cracked to version 1.03! Unpack and play!
. Buy a new copy of Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood. Install on your PC. Game instructs you that you have to reboot your PC to play.
After reboot, game asks for key code. Type the 19 digit key printed on sticker attached to manual. Game claims key is invalid.
Re-type key as many times as you like trying various combinations of upper/lower case, including/removing hypens, etc. Call tech support line (charged at $2.48/minute). Get put on hold. Remove CD in frustration. Note additional key code PRINTED ON CD. Type in new code.
Re-type key as many times as you like trying various combinations of upper/lower case, including/removing hypens, etc. Eventually, note that game now claims 'error - insert CD'. Re-insert CD.
Game now claims error as autoplay tries to install game for second time on CD read. Cancel second installation. Still feel like playing the game? I'm going to take a wild, wild guess here, go way out on a limb, risk my reputation as a stockbroker and analyst, and endanger my good name and lucrative marriage to speculate that if this game is already cracked, and the only people who don't have to worry about this little Chinese fire drill of CD swaps and 16-digit alphanumeric keys and repeated reinstalls are pirates and crackers and warez doods.
Does anyone know if it's cracked yet? I say five will get you ten it's not only cracked, but is also being distributed on Bittorrent in a nice zipped package as it has been since up to a week before the street date. Denial or confirmation of this theory will not be taken as a declaration of guilt of anything whatsoever, although I may wink and tell you to fight the power. People are using starforce because A) It usually takes a month or so to crack; B) It's not just an exe release. Starforce encrypts everything (or can, perhaps it's optional) and thus requires that you get a fully decrypted release, which often involves the entire game. It's actually funny, because it forces people to warez it completely just to not have the copy protection. Where other schemes you can just grab an exe.
So people who'd buy it but don't want the copy protection, or a legal consumer, can't just disable the copy protection. UnicornMcGriddle: Does anyone know if it's cracked yet?
Did a search and found the crack on a site (which I won't post since I'm not sure if it's kosher or not) in a few mouse clicks. The crack has been available since the 12th of October. As far as if the crack works or not, I have no idea. And after searching one bittorrent site I see that the game has been available since the 8th from RELOADED. More than likely, a crack is archived in that bittorrent.
The original Brothers in Arms uses SafeDisc v4 copy protection (according to another website I won't post a link to). Is that the same as Starforce?
If it is and it is the same protection used for Earned in Blood, sure seems like an ineffective and costly way to prevent piracy. Costly, not only in terms of lost sales from people who downloaded the game, but also from tech support costs due to situations similar to what the OP experienced, and from lost future sales when people pass up the next game the company publishes because it uses a copy protection scheme which causes legit users so much hassle. Ironically, pirates usually have the best gaming experience because they don't have to put up with most of that crap from their warezed copies. Are copy protection schemes actually creating the problem they're trying to eliminate?
Charles: People are using starforce because A) It usually takes a month or so to crack In the past month, crackers have figured out how to quickly crack all versions of Starforce up to 3.6.10.03. To defeat Starforce, the crackers have written anti-Starforce programs that intercept the Starforce calls. Here's a short list of some formerly Starforce-protected titles that have been cracked: Space Rangers 2 Blitzkrieg 2 The Suffering: Ties That Bind GT Legends Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood Bet On Soldier: Blood Sport Codename Panzers: Phase 2. From what I can tell from the listings, only the A-list titles such as Brothers in Arms get a crack. Older titles get the 'here's the image, here's the Starforce-defeater program, have fun' treatment.

That might not be correct. Browsing the.nfo files from some of these releases, it looks as if CD Starforce releases can be cracked, while DVD Starforce releases have to have anti-Starforce programs running in the background. Starforce is still a more effective protection scheme than any other, because the instructions for using the anti-Starforce program are complex. The forums are all filled with non-techhy teenagers who can figure out how to post to a forum, but can't follow technical instructions written by someone for whom English is a second language: 1.
