The Asturian band Avalanch combines heavy metal with elements of hard rock, pop and folk. Their albums are published in several European and American countries, and they mostly tour in Latin America. They have been described as one of the 'leading' Spanish-language heavy metal bands.

La Llama Eterna is the first studio album by the Asturian power metal band Avalanch, released in 1997. This work was later released in English under the name Eternal Flame on April 17, 2002. tracks 1.La Llama eterna 2.El mundo perdido 3.El despertar 4.Vicio letal 5.Esclavo de la ira 6.Avalon, la morada del rey 7.Excalibur 8.Sigue asi 9.Rainbow Warrior 10.Juego cruel 11.La taberna 12.Avalanch 13.El cierre de la taberna Home-Page.

Continuing to develop a loyal following, particularly in Japan, the writing was nonetheless on the wall when Finchum departed in 1992. The remaining trio (Tate, Pepper and Hooker) re-emerged a year later with a new drummer (Andy Skinner) and a new band, Wazbones.

After a US recording contract collapsed and Pepper left the band, Tate and Hooker reconvened in Wales to record their self-titled 1995 album with Skinner and new guitarist Cy Danhar. Jaimz and Finchum revived Tigertailz in 2003 for touring purposes. In an interesting turn of events, Hooker, Pepper and Tate then reunited to begin recording a new Tigertailz album which became Bezerk 2.0.

They also won a legal battle to retain ownership of the band name. Tate lost his battle with pancreatic cancer shortly after the release of 2007’s Thrill Pistol. tracks 1.Sick Sex 2.Love Bomb Baby 3.I Can Fight Dirty Too 4.Noise Level Critical 5.Heaven 6.Love Overload 7.Action City 8.Twist And Shake 9.Squeeze It Dirty 10.Call of the Wind Home-Page. Even during the best of times, Triumph's career was defined by a never-ending power struggle between its two lead singers and primary songwriters, Rik Emmett and Gil Moore.

So after taking a back seat to guitarist Emmett on the previous year's impressive Just a Game album, drummer Moore fought back to secure a slim margin of victory on 1980's Progressions of Power. One of Triumph's most consistent albums, even though it lacked for major chart-topping hits, Progressions of Power proved true to its name when launched by the absolutely relentless 'I Live for the Weekend,' which along with the self-explanatory 'Tear the Roof Off' figured among Moore's most undeniable copyrights ever. What's more, the vocalist/drummer seemed intent on beating Emmett at his own game, submitting a pair of extremely competent singles candidates in the rousing 'I Can Survive' and the laid-back, BTO-grooved 'Woman in Love' (if not the less dynamic 'Nature's Child'). For his part, Emmett was responsible for the memorably moody power ballad 'In the Night,' the gutsy album closer 'Hard Road,' and the regrettably Muzak-level schmaltz of 'Take My Heart,' as well as indulging in one of his always stunning (for the muso fans, anyway) instrumental acoustic showcases - aptly named 'Fingertalkin'.' Go ahead and award the fourth round of Triumph's ongoing musical boxing match to Gil Moore then; his creative sparring with Emmett would produce several more exciting albums and years of action before they knocked each other down to the canvas, taking ever-patient producer/bassist/keyboardist/referee Mike Levine down with them.

Eduardo Rivadavia, Allmusic.com tracks 1.I Live For The Weekend 2.I Can Survive 3.In the NIght 4.Nature's Child 5.Woman In Love 6.Take My Heart 7.Tear the Roof Off 8.Finger Talkin' 9.Hard Road Home-Page. In 1996, Bal-Sagoth released, again recorded at in England.

The album marked a key shift in the band's soundnow focusing more on the composition and arrangement skills of drummer (and studio keyboard player) Jonny Maudlingas well as the 'storytelling' aspect of 's spoken-word vocals. Through keyboards, the band incorporated a virtual symphony orchestra as an equal fifth instrument, along with guitar, bass, drums and vocals. This new sound would be expanded and explored on all four of the band's later efforts. Jag Panzer is an American power metal band from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Jag Panzer came together in late 1981, being inspired by the onslaught of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The original line-up consisted of Harry Conklin on vocals (later nicknamed the 'Tyrant'), Mark Briody (who was the sole guitarist of the group in its first incarnation), John Tetley who played the bass, and Rick Hilyard as the drummer.

The band was known as Tyrant in its first incarnation. They soon had to change their name, because another such named band existed in California. Ample Destruction is the first studio album released by American power metal band Jag Panzer, released in 1984. Originally released on Azra Records, a small independent label, it received poor marketing from the label, and thus became only an underground hit amongst the metal community, and was bootlegged repeatedly. tracks 1.Licensed to Kill 2.Warfare 3.Symphony Of Terror 4.Harder Than Steel 5.Generally Hostile 6.The Watching 7.Unnamed Interlude 8.Reign of the Tyrants 9.Cardiac Arrest 10.The Crucifix 11.Black Sunday (Bonus) 12.Eyes Of The Night (Bonus) Home-Page.

Tigertailz are a glam metal band hailing from Cardiff, Wales. They are most famous for their 1990 album, Bezerk which made the Top 40 in the UK Albums Chart and spawned the hit singles 'Love Bomb Baby' and 'Heaven'. The band reformed in 2005 to considerable popular acclaim. Tigertailz (originally called Stagefright) formed in 1983 after bassist Pepsi Tate and drummer Ian Welch placed an advert in the Cardiff record store, Spillers Records, looking for a guitarist. Jay Pepper answered the advert.2 Local guitarist Phil Harling and singer Jim Dovey joined and the band began to write and record demos, although the demos were never released. The band began to get gigs and they started to amass a local following, however lead singer Jim Dovey soon left the band therefore Pepper and Tate placed an advert in the National Sounds magazine and vocalist Steevi Jaimz answered the call and joined the band. Welch left the band in 1984 and was finally replaced with Ace Finchum.

Originally formed as an epic/symphonic black metal band with strong death metal elements, vocalist/lyricist Byron Roberts took the name 'Bal-Sagoth' from the Robert E. Howard short story 'The Gods of Bal-Sagoth'. Their first demo was recorded in 1993, and Bal-Sagoth have since released three albums on Cacophonous Records, and three with Nuclear Blast. The band entered Academy Music Studio in June 1994 and recorded their debut album, A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria, in just two weeks. Due to label problems, the album was shelved for nearly a year, finally seeing the light of day in 1995. The album showcased more traditional black metal/death metal ideas, and fewer symphonic elements.

The vocal style of Byron Roberts is also slightly different from later efforts, using more traditional death metal and black metal grunts, as well as the spoken narrative passages which would become more prevalent on subsequent albums. tracks 1.Hatheg Kla 2.Dreaming of Atlantean Spires 3.Spellcraft & Moonfire (Beyond the Citadel Of Frosts) 4.A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria 5.Enthroned In The Temple Of the Serpent Kings 6.Shadows 'Neath the Black Pyrammid 7.Witch-Storm 8.The Ravening 9.Into The Silent Chambers of the Sapphirean Throne (Sagas from The Antediluvian Scrolls) 10.Valle of Silent Paths Home-Page: http://www.bal-sagoth.com/V7/index.html. Honcho was established in Oslo in summer 1998. They were originally a stoner rock band, with clear influences of bands like Kyuss, Soundgarden, and other similar bands within the genre. Since 1998, they have evolved more in a broader direction. It can hardly be called stoner rock anymore, but still finds well-developed riffs, two guitars and stoner rock -influenced vocals, as fertile ground for their new songs. Important to point out that the band have stated that they have moved away from the stoner rock genre.

Triptykon is a musical project of Thomas Gabriel Fischer, founding member of the pioneering heavy metal bands Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and Apollyon Sun.

Fischer announced his departure from Celtic Frost in May 2008 and shortly afterwards revealed his new project would be entitled Triptykon. The name of the band is a play on the word 'triptych', because Triptykon is founding member Thomas Gabriel Fischer's third project after Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. The band logo is inspired by a writing pattern used in Weimar Republic.

On August 5, 2009, Triptykon issued a press release indicating the recording of their debut album, Eparistera Daimones, would commence in the middle of August and continue through November, with a release in the spring of 2010. After the relative success of their debut album, Dope decided to record a follow up entitled Life.

Several band changes had taken place once more; Tripp Eisen was fired from the group and joined Industrial metal band Static-X, so Virus, a guitarist/producer from New York City who was originally hired for bass, replaced him on guitar in 2000. Acey Slade was moved to the position of guitar, while Sloane Jentry (who had remained friends with the band) rejoined, this time on bass. On drums, Preston Nash was replaced by Racci 'Sketchy' Shay. Around this period, Edsel Dope also had a public rivalry with the band Murderdolls, particularly vocalist Wednesday 13. An early version of that group had featured Racci Shay on drums; and under the name Murderdolls, it featured Tripp Eisen. Dope guitarist Acey Slade then left the band to join Murderdolls in mid-2002.

Victory Records took notice of the band after the release of their extended play and signed them. They released their first full-length album Goodbye to the Gallows in 2007. The band has been signed to the label ever since. Their second, third and fourth albums The Respect Issue (2008), Felony (2009) and Speaker of the Dead (2011) were all distributed through Victory.

Leviathan is such a common band name that you might not be expecting much originality from this up-and-coming band, but you’d only be half-right. While they’re not groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination, Beyond The Gates Of Imagination Pt. 1 is not an album to be dismissed based on unoriginality.

Its execution borders on perfect, serving the listener a balanced dish of progressive folk-laden melodic death metal, taken from mostly Finnish cuisine despite the band’s German origins, and drawing from Kalmah, Wintersun, Bodom with a smidgeon of Disillusion, although those aren’t the only flavors included. 'Noche del Chupacabra' is all about a trip into a psychedelic swamp with sweet sludgy riffness guiding you into a world where you just can't stop feeling the groove! The dark and psychedelic ambient fits perfectly with their 'swampy' riffs. And the cover is more than enough to prove my point. Being all about slow, heavy and sludgy riffs, you can see that these guys try a different approach when you think about most stoner bands that just want play heavy and fast. This band, on the contrary, doesn't have fast drums, but instead, gives you a seriously slow distorted guitar with slower bass and drums and make it work! As a result, you just can't stop nodding your head to this because their sound is slow, rhythmic and catchy.

Despite the short track-listing, 'Noche del Chupacabra' will guarantee you a good headbanging time with their sludgy stoner groove. I recommend these guys if you're a fan of nice and slow stoner vibes. You get tired of most bands of the same genre, but this one likes to fight back!

These guys intrigue me so, rest assured, after listening to this they will most certainly do the same to you. Janne (guitar/vocals), Fox (bass), and Iggy (drums) began playing together as Smack in their native Stockholm circa 1996. By 1999, new drummer Trisse had joined up and a couple of well-received three-song demos convinced the band to go pro and adopt a new name in the year 2000. Their choice, Grand Magus, was actually much more fitting with their sonic identity, which consisted of both '70s hard rock and stoner rock influences (what the band likes to call doom blues) and drew the attention of Rise Above label boss Lee Dorrian.

At the beginning of 2001, they entered local Das Boot Studios with Dismember drummer Fred Estby acting as producer, emerging a few weeks later with a self-titled debut that was released in 2001. Since then, Grand Magus have released four more full-lengths: Monument in 2003 (JVC); Wolf's Return in 2005 and Iron Will in 2008 (both on Candlelight); and Hammer of the North in 2010 (Roadrunner). Along the way lead vocalist Janne changed his name to the initials J.B. And also began singing for top Swedish stoner metal act Spiritual Beggars. Eduardo Rivadavia, Allmusic.com tracks 1.I. French death metal veterans No Return have been together in one form or another since 1989.

They have been popular in Germany and France label, and have worked with some well-known producers including Florida death metal kingpin Tom Morris, but they have not really developed much of a following in the U.S. No Return has released several albums over the years, beginning with 1990's Psychological Torment (Semetary Records), followed by the Morris-produced Contamination Rises (1992), Seasons of Soul (1995), and the Red Embers EP (1997). In the late '90s, No Return made a few lineup changes, bringing in a new vocalist (Steeve 'Zuul' Petit), a second guitarist (Benoit Antonia), and a keyboardist (Malko Pouchin). The first album with this new lineup was 2000's Self-Mutilation, which came out on the French Kodiac Records. After moving on to the Nuclear Blast label following this album, No Return finally had its first U.S.

Release with 2002's futuristic, cyber-themed concept album Machinery. The band's fifth release, Rain Dances is Camel at its best, offering the most consistent and representative package in their saga. The addition of Caravan-cofounder Richard Sinclair proves profitable, as do a few colorist touches by Brian Eno on 'Elke.' Mel Collins' woodwinds are among the highlights, especially on 'Tell Me' and the title track. From beginning to end, this project flows gracefully.

Abandoning the lovely soundscapes of Snow Goose, Camel delved into layered guitar and synthesizers similar to those of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on the impressive Moonmadness. Part of the reason behind the shift in musical direction was the label's insistence that Camel venture into more commercial territory after the experimental Snow Goose, and it is true that the music on Moonmadness is more akin to traditional English progressive rock, even though it does occasionally dip into jazz-fusion territory with syncopated rhythms and shimmering keyboards. Furthermore, the songs are a little more concise and accessible than those of its predecessor.

That doesn't mean Camel has abandoned art. Moonmadness is indeed a concept album, based loosely on the personalities of each member - 'Chord Change' is Peter Bardens, 'Air Born' is Andy Latimer, 'Lunar Sea' is Andy Ward and 'Another Night' is Doug Ferguson. Certainly, it's a concept that is considerably less defined than that of Snow Goose, and the music isn't quite as challenging, yet that doesn't mean that Moonmadness is devoid of pleasure. In fact, with its long stretches of atmospheric instrumentals and spacy solos, it's quite rewarding.

Daevid Jehnzen, Allmusic.com Tracks 1.Aristillus 2.Song Within A Song 3.Chord Change 4.Spirit Of The Water 5.Another Night 6.Air Born 7.Lunar Sea Buy=. Camel's classic period started with The Snow Goose, an instrumental concept album based on a novella by Paul Gallico. Although there are no lyrics on the album - two songs feature wordless vocals - the music follows the emotional arc of the novella's story, which is about a lonely man named Rhayader who helps nurse a wounded snow goose back to health with the help of a young girl called Fritha he recently befriended. Once the goose is healed, it is set free, but Fritha no longer visits the man because the goose is gone.

Emmure demo 2005 rar 1

Later, Rhayader is killed in battle during the evacuation of Dunkirk. The goose returned during the battle, and it is then named La Princesse Perdue, symbolizing the hopes that can still survive even during the evils of war. With such a complex fable to tell, it is no surprise that Camel keep their improvisational tendencies reigned in, deciding to concentrate on surging, intricate soundscapes that telegraph the emotion of the piece without a single word. And even though The Snow Goose is an instrumental album, it is far more accessible than some of Camel's later work, since it relies on beautiful sonic textures instead of musical experimentation. This is the new Episode of Bleeding Metal, the Heavy Metal Breed Blog's podcast, enjoy Metal fans!!! Switzerland's most successful hard rock band, Krokus enjoyed international popularity in the 1980s and onward for their aggressive, straightforward variety of European metal.

Hailing from the Swiss city of Solothurn, Krokus was formed in 1974 by guitarist Tommy Kiefer and percussionist Chris Von Rohr. Initially performing an eclectic and artful brand of prog rock, Krokus released their first album in 1976, with the founders joined by guitarist Hansi Droz and bassist Remo Spadino. Krokus' second album, To You All, found them pursuing a tougher hard rock sound with a revamped lineup: Von Rohr moved from drums to vocals, Fernando Von Arb came on board as second guitarist, and the band had a new rhythm section, bassist Jurg Naegeli and drummer Freddy Steady (the new members were all previously with the group Montezuma).
