Ibanez Artist Ar 350 Super Edition Warriors
Ibanez Gio cherry red guitar. Much loved guitar. Played many a gig with it.
Dont play it much anymore and want it to go to someone who will love it. Have had the neck straightened and action setup recently. The guitar has a couple of dings in its body on the back (see photos) And the volume switch has a little static when changing volumes. Other than that the guitar plays beautifully. Has a great action for fast or slow playing. Great for a beginners or someone who needs a reliable guitar to gig with that doesn't cost a fortune. Has a three way pickup controlling two humbuckers.

This guitar will outlast more expensive rivals and outplay them too. Comes with a free case in which two out of five buckles have survived (see photos). Case has seen many a gig too.
I am parting with my '87 Ibanez AR 350. This is a really cool guitar, and you don't have to play it for long to understand why they were dubbed 'The Les Paul Killer'. I was skeptical at first as that sounds like a gimmick, but these guitars are what they say they are. This one is a rather rare model. The AR 350 Supers were only made for a few years and only in three colors: Marine Burst, Fire Red, and Arctic Pearl.
This one started out as the latter. They only made around 100 of these in '87. Unfortunately, when I bought it someone had decided that they didn't want it to be that color. No, they wanted it to be stained a dark reddish color and then of course when it didn't turn out, they decided never to put it back together!

So I spent a year or so refinishing and piecing the box of parts back together. 99% of the original parts were there, I just had to come up with some screws and a few pieces of the locking nut. Once I saw the top on this one I decided to just do a natural finish. It is done in a Sam Maloof oil rub finish.
The mahogany back, flame maple top, and maple neck with ebony fret board create a really nice contrasting finish, and it just feels great to play. You won't see another one like this one. It is truly one of a kind. You will notice in the pictures that it is NOT in perfect condition. The binding is cracked and split but it is not brittle and, in my opinion, it looks pretty cool. There is a nice scratch on the back of the head stock that I put on there when re-installing the tuners. Awesome - that made me sick but, nonetheless it is a pretty special guitar.
On to electronics. This Super came with Super 58's.
These are the most coveted of Ibanez artist pickups, and you will understand why when you play it - I really can't do them justice with a description. The tone pots are push/pull coil taps, and the two switches move the pick-ups in and out of phase. This one is set up with the Ibanez 'Floyd Rose Licensed' tremolo and the original version of it. It is pretty cool, but to be honest, I prefer a hard tail and that is the main reason that I am selling this one. I don't have a case, but it fits in a Les Paul case.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. I am asking well below what I expect this is worth, but it is not perfect so I have discounted it for its imperfections, that really make it that much cooler! Product Specs Condition: Brand: Model: Finish: Categories: Year: Made In: Japan.
